Vote early, but not often

It’s official, and it’s no surprise to Texans. We’ve got the best system — for voting, that is.

Two-thirds of all Texans who voted in the last election didn’t show up on Election Day. They voted during the two-week early voting period.

This is one of the best rates in the nation. Only a few other states had better records for early voting, and most of them vote by mail.

Every election, we hear all kinds of people pleading, threatening and persuading us to vote.

Not all voters will respond, of course, but at least we should make it as easy as possible.

Texas, once again, is showing the rest of the nation how.

Whether they follow our lead is another matter.

You should check out the voting in Greece. EVERY human being of voting age is required to vote. REQUIRED! If you don't go to the polls, they will come find you and bring a ballot, give a ride to the voting places or let you email, phone in your vote or mail it. No excuses. It's strange how it gets done and I'm sure it's easier in a small country. Good for them.

Well I for one liked it a lot better when fewer people voted but those who did had a clue as to what the issues were rather than who was going to give them the best handout.
Then thers the folk in the north that vote early and then again. LMAO

Voting should made be more difficult, not easier. The aim of voting is justice. Voting is a process, not an end.
